Yesterday, the Integrate team took Target by storm to get a head start on Halloween and find the best decorations for our 2nd Annual Desk Decorating Contest. We will be putting our craftiness to the test and may be hitting up Pinterest for some ideas!
Since Halloween is sneaking up on us, it’s time to really start decorating and creating the best crafts and costumes out there. From pumpkin carving to costume makeup, here’s a list of our favorite crafts and activities!
Pumpkin Patch Picking
There is nothing quite as satisfying during the Halloween and fall season as finding the perfect pumpkin. Plus, pumpkin patch photos are adorable. Houston has some great pumpkin patches worth exploring, try Dewberry Farm, Oil Ranch, TGR Exotics or Old Time Christmas Tree Farm. Turn that pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern and roast the seeds or simply paint on a face!
Bobbing for Apples
A slightly under-practiced activity, bobbing for apples is still a favorite in our office. Today, people can’t seem to touch anything without sanitizing it, so this fun activity may have died out in the germy world we live in. If you’re a germaphobe, check out this article we found about how to keep it clean!
Of course, dressing up for Halloween is a must for this holiday – no matter what your age! The Integrate office is certainly excited to see what costumes everyone will wear. If you’re looking for some inspiration, Awkward Family Photos has a fantastic album of costume favorites.
Once that pumpkin you bought has served its purpose on your porch, turn it into a pie, cheesecake, cookies, bread, or any of the latest pumpkin flavored treats! Pumpkin goods are all the rage these days, so take advantage of yours and make a plethora of pumpkin goodies to impress your party guests.
If you’re feeling crafty, make a wreath to decorate your door and welcome trick-or-treaters. Wreaths don’t have to be expensive activity; our desk-decorating contest had a $10 limit, so make it into a fun challenge and get crafty!
Halloween is definitely one of our favorite holidays. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram for all of our fall frolics.
