With the arrival of November, the holiday season is officially under way. As we leave the hot summer months, and welcome the cold(er), crisp weather, there comes a sense of excitement that rushes over all of us at Integrate. The fall and winter months are not just for pumpkin carving and holiday cheer, but for the Integrate team, it also means the start of event season. For these few months, the Integrate calendar is filled with races, festivals and foodie feasts that showcase all of our clients’ and our hard work throughout the year, and we are thrilled to share them with all of you.
The end of October marked the biggest event of the year for one of our clients. Each year, Susan G. Komen Houston hosts its Race for the Cure, the largest fundraising event for the nonprofit that raises much-needed funds that help Houstonians combat breast cancer. Unfortunately, this past weekend, on Halloween, the scheduled date of the Race, Houston’s streets were flooded thanks to a terrible storm that meant canceling the much-anticipated annual event. Of course, the Komen team’s top priority is to end breast cancer forever, but with the safety of the organization’s runners and staff at hand, the ultimate decision was to cancel, to ensure no one was in harm’s way. Despite the weather, we encourage you to continue to raise funds for Susan G. Komen Houston; the Race fundraising season doesn’t end until November 30th, after all!
For our golfer friends, you can also consider making a difference for Komen in a few weeks. On November 16th, the second annual Komen Golf Classic will be held at Champions Gold Classic to raise additional awareness and funds with the goal of ending breast cancer forever.
For the fourth year in a row, we are excited to a part of a well-known and beloved Houston fiesta. Once again, Integrate has the honor of working with the annual Houston Margarita Festival. On November 8th, all of Houston is invited to Sam Houston Park downtown to mix, mingle and celebrate all things margaritas, including a margarita and salsa competition to find the best of the best in Houston. Integrate is especially excited about this year’s event as the festival has grown so much over the years that it has moved to an even larger location in order to hold all of the guests and sponsors. Tickets are still available for all of you margarita enthusiasts, but they’re running out fast.
Continuing with 21 and up events we’re excited about, another one of our clients, the Union Kitchen, is partnering with Houston’s own Saint Arnold’s Brewing Co. to host a “Beer Dinner” at the Union Kitchen Bellaire location. On November 18th, the Union Kitchen will host a five-course meal, each plate paired with a specific St. Arnold’s brew which complements the corresponding dish to perfection. Tickets can be reserved for the dinner by calling (713)-661-0025.
Of course, Integrate clients are not the only organizations that are hosting events this season. SEARCH Homeless Services is hosting its 7th annual Picnic in the Park on November 5th, and two Integrate clients, Jonathan’s the Rub and Paul’s Kitchen, will be featured food vendors. Jonathan’s the Rub is also a featured vendor at Chefs in the Sky for Lucky’s Dog Rescue on November 15th. We love seeing our clients helping the local community and these events are no exception.
Our team works hard to not only create tailored events, but to promote our clients’ amazing, already-established events, and, although it means our team endures a VERY busy season, we are eager to celebrate each of our clients and their events with all of Houston.
