The Ultimate Wedding Wishlist

As any good marketer should know, there is ALWAYS something new to learn and discover within the forever changing realm of social media.  Integrate loves developing unique and successful social media campaigns for each of our clients.  We are constantly working hard to come up with new and creative ways to incorporate the different nuances within each social platform into client strategies, say, for instance, a fun bridal giveaway!

A particularly exciting campaign one of our teams recently concluded was Brian Gavin Diamonds’ Wedding Wishlist Giveaway.  Much like how Integrate is not an ordinary agency, Brian Gavin Diamonds is no ordinary jeweler, so our team would not dream of creating an ordinary social media campaign. Thus, Integrate planned and executed a large-scale Wedding Wishlist sweepstakes featuring five bridal prizes from national brands and businesses that included a set of his and hers Brian Gavin Diamonds wedding bands, a Tulum Honeymoon from Mi Amor Hotel, a four-month Bridal Box subscription to Tulle La La, a Groom’s Kit plus $100 gift card to Redbeard Brand and 100 wedding invitations from Nib & Pixel. Integrate created, promoted and cultivated the large-scale sweepstakes with the ultimate goal of increasing Brian Gavin’s social media following and gaining additional newsletter subscribers, while also sending potential customers to the Brian Gavin Diamonds website, building new relationships within the bridal community, along the way.

To make such a large-scale sweepstakes possible, and to meet our goals, Integrate relied on careful planning and a well-crafted strategy. After lining up an amazing roster of partners to be included in the giveaway, it was crucial for us to create original copy, graphics, talking points and terms of agreement to all partners in order to ensure fluid communication and congruent social promotion.  Once everyone was on board, it was time to get the word out, a task our team knew they’d be able to rock (#punintended)!  Aside from making customers and potential customers aware of the campaign on social media channels by posting and engaging on Brian Gavin Diamonds’ Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram channels, our public relations team members were able to secure earned coverage through popular wedding blog, HowHeAsked.com, after our rockstar social media team member tweeted the promotion to them. They were also able to secure mentions on its social media channels, as well as arrange a social media sharing package with The Wedding Chicks’ Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook pages to help further promote the contest.  We were able to secure additional local celebrity endorsements, with iHeartRadio’s Adam Clanton and Theresa Rockface sharing details of the Wedding Wishlist Giveaway with their base of followers, after Adam proposed to Theresa with a gorgeous Brian Gavin Diamonds engagement ring.

When it came time to find the lucky bride-to-be, we used sweepstakes app, Rafflecopter, to help us pick a completely random and unsuspecting, lucky winner. Once we logged on to the client’s social media channels to make the announcement, we were able to take a peek into the bride-to-be and her fiance’s relationship, and knew we could not have chosen a better winner if we hand-picked one ourselves. We were all enamored by the love they shared, as it clearly shined through the winner’s Instagram and Facebook photos. Later that day, we communicated with the winner via email, and learned how excited and thankful she was, even telling us she cried at work when she found out she was the winner! We were able to set up a schedule to work with her to further promote Brian Gavin Diamonds through her socials as well as ours, using the announcement as well as pictures of her and her future husband to share her story.

So you ask, did we reach our goals and that of the client’s? You bet we did! Overall, the Wedding Wishlist Giveaway resulted in 12,088 entries from 1,990 participants. Of those 1,990 participants added to the Brian Gavin Diamonds newsletter, 85.4 percent remained subscribed, substantially increasing the client’s base of newsletter subscribers, and thus, potential customers. Regarding our goal of increasing Brian Gavin’s social media presence and follower-base, not only did engagement increase across the board, but Brian Gavin Diamonds’ cumulative social media platform growth increased by 2,169 followers within just one month.
