On Monday June 25th, Texas Hill Country Wineries hosted their first annual Golf Tournament. BriteIdea Marketing was there not only as a hole sponsor the day of the event but on their journey to promote the ticket sales and event promotion in the weeks prior. We ran social ads on both Facebook and LinkedIn to spread awareness and encourage team sign ups for this inaugural event. With about 200K impressions and 7,400 engagements, this ultimately resulted in 72 registered players and sponsorships selling out. By targeting companies that were related to the wine industry and consumers who support Texas wine we were able to create quality conversions.
Being a sponsor was a sure fire way to be hands on in their success and allowed us to assist in ensuring everyone was having a good time at the game at our hole. We set up a branded tent and table and incorporated games that allowed the players to stop, take a moment to chat with our team and learn about our services in a fun and engaging environment. Not to sway from the tournament in itself, our game gave the players the opportunity to gain advantages in the game (and disadvantages.) Because our interaction excited the players, it created conversation during the game and was ultimately the talk of the golf course!
Though sponsored events don’t always generate instantaneous leads or sales, its important to set a clear goal of what you would like to accomplish day of and a follow up strategy for long term goals. Most importantly, they help you maintain your partnership with your clients and warm prospects up to your brand. Allowing you to present yourself and your business as a real person – you never know, those players can convert to clients one day or act as catalysts to spread the word about your services to their network.
