Like many of you, we’re in the midst of my absolute favorite time of year in Houston: springtime. What’s not to love? Crawfish and crawfish boils are aplenty, patio dining is the norm, and a new, fun events pops up every time I turn around. Our clients are just as busy, with amazing campaigns, events and initiatives taking place all around us. I’m looking forward to many things this season, but the biggest events and activities I’ve got my eye on are below.
We love all things Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at our office and in my house. Working with the Houston-area locations, we’re constantly impressed by the creative programming the movie theaters create. One of my favorite Alamo Drafthouse Cinema offerings is its Rolling Roadshow. Market Square Park downtown hosts the movie theater once a month in the spring and summer for movies in the park. Grab your picnic baskets, blankets and a few beers and join me on the lawn!
Live Music in the Great Outdoors
Spring and early summer typically marks the time when I make the near-monthly trek to the Woodlands to check out some of my favorite national acts. This time around, I’m most excited to see Elton John with my husband and my mom! Additionally, Discovery Green always has an amazing spring and summer Thursday night lineup. Even better: these concerts are free!
Besides heading to some of my favorite bars and restaurants for great food and an even better atmosphere, I love being able to enjoy the patio at our office. As you may have already heard, our office features a putting green and patio. Besides grabbing a quick lunch outside, I’ve already loved having the opportunity to sit outside with team-members to brainstorm for clients. Something about the sunshine gets the creative juices flowing!
When the weather’s nice, I love to hop on my bike and explore this great city of ours! Sometimes it’s just a quick ride to some of my favorite Rice Military-area brunch spots or my local yoga studio, but on Saturdays and Sundays when I have more free time, I love being able to make my bike rides a bit longer, stopping at my favorite bars, restaurants or festivals. I might just hop on my bike and head to Market Square Park for a Rolling Roadshow or two!
What are you looking forward to this Spring?
