New iExcitement at Integrate

Categorized in:

It’s finally here: the newest iPhone (or should I say iPhones?), the latest iOS update and, the pièce de résistance, the iWatch. That’s a lot of new iStuff and being an office that runs on Apple products and coffee, Integrate is all a buzz with iExcitement. Okay, I’m sorry. No more i’s.

First, is the iOS 8 update. It is a pretty awesome update that will make everything run smoothly and comes with new apps such as, Health, Tips, iBooks and more. But, before you even think about updating, as we’ve already started to see articles about bugs, back your phone up. No one wants to see the flurry of Facebook posts or tweets about how you lost all of your photos. This is your warning: back it up, and then update.

Up next are the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. We’ve already had a few Integrate team members pre-order these bad boys. Laura and Caitlyn, both of whom are using the now antiquated iPhone 4, are in for a shock with the new and comparatively giant iPhone 6. With a screen that is bigger than their current phones, it’s going to take some adjustment. Apple is also taking note of other “phablets” (I promise I didn’t make that up. That’s what they are called.) on the market and the iPhone 6 Plus is their answer. Is it a phone? Is it a tablet? It’s a little bit of both and is sure to be too heavy for your pocket, but really useful for some live-tweeting at events.

Finally, the most important new Apple goodie to come out is the much anticipated iWatch. Or Apple Watch? I’ve seen both. This watch is going to be the “it” electronic for a while and, truthfully, I don’t know that this is really justified. There are plenty of other smart watches out there and I bet a few of them are even made for lefties. The iWatch is made pretty much for righties, so the left-handed people in our office: Allison and Allie, will not be able to take full advantage of their Apple Watches.

Are any of you picking up the new iPhone 6? I want to hear about it on Facebook!
