Who says Halloween is only for kids? At Integrate, we’ve been getting into the spirit of the season throughout the month of October. We’ve attended Halloween parties, eaten bags of candy corn and even had a desk decorating contest!
Last weekend we let out our inner angels, unicorns, pageant stars and rockers at the Bash: A Halloween Happening, which benefitted the Cerebral Palsy Fund of Easter Seals Greater Houston. It was wicked fun and we all had a ghoulishly good time! The costume ball was held at the Corinthian and featured live music from Skyrocket and the Smithereens, delicious food and libations, and the most amazing costumes! The event was especially meaningful to us because it ultimately benefitted a great cause. We’re so happy to have been able to attend the event and support Easter Seals Greater Houston!
To help the team get in the Halloween mood, IPR took a trip to Target to purchase materials for the office’s inaugural desk decorating contest earlier in the month. Each person was given $15 and 30 minutes in the store, and with that, the contest began! Yesterday our neighbors at Bayou City Art Festival came to the office to judge the desks and choose a winner. The desks were judged on creativity, Halloween-theme, use of space and use of materials. Each desk looked devilishly divine, but it was our interns, Edmund and Laura, who teamed up and created the most spooktacular desk which won the first place trophy! Jessie was first runner up, followed by Mary, Adrienne, Jenny and Allie.
October’s been an exciting month for IPR and we can’t wait to finish it up with Halloween tomorrow! Who knows, maybe some staff members will show up to work in a costume! Is your office doing anything especially spooky for Halloween? If so, tell us on our Facebook page!
