Designing for a Cause

Well, it’s that time of year for cookouts, pool parties, and fireworks! The Fourth of July is upon us and while we know you are looking to have a good time this weekend, applauding our country’s freedom, remember to have a plan for transportation if you and your buddies decide to have a few celebratory drinks. We have been handling the public relations and social media efforts for Lone Star Cab and recently launched a “Pick Your Star Driver” campaign, encouraging Houstonian’s to plan ahead this holiday weekend.  

The Fourth of July has been named one of the deadliest days of the year, and Lone Star Cab wants to ensure our safety so is giving away free rides if “Uncle Sam” shows up to pick you up! Call for a cab (713.444.4444), and just cross your fingers and hope that your cab driver shows up dressed as Uncle Sam (because if he does, you ride free of charge!).

Speaking of saving money, why not put that extra cash in your pocket towards a good cause? Our client, Susan G. Komen Houston, has been encouraging people to ditch everyday unnecessary spending and putting that money towards Komen Houston. The donation will help pay for transportation assistance for screenings, diagnostic procedures and appointments for a Houston area breast cancer patient. We created a graphic for Komen Houston’s #DitchandDonate campaign to spread the word on social media on how easy it can be to donate to the cause. So ditch your daily coffee run or monthly mani/pedi and donate the saved money to Komen Houston by starting your race team today!
